Founded in 1994, WNC brings decades of winemaking, viticulture and business experience to its projects around Australia and the world. From its original base in Hawthorn, to today’s office in the heart of the Yarra Valley WNC has always held a forward-looking, global view of the wine world.

Managing Director
Mark is the Managing Director of WNC and works with many different clients across Australia and internationally. This advisory work covers a diverse range of topics from winemaking and vineyard advice to winery design and upgrades, due diligence assessments, recruitment and general business improvement.

Steve Flamsteed

Director & Senior Consultant
Steve is widely recognised as one of Australia’s best cool climate winemakers and an expert in Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. In 2016 Steve was awarded Australian Gourmet Traveller Magazine’s Winemaker of the Year and was named Wine Communicators of Australia Victorian Legend of the Vine in 2019. He has also been shortlisted for the 2027 Halliday Wine Companion Awards for Winemaker of the Year and Best New Winery of the Year for Decades, a partnership Steve shares with Brad Rogers.

This coupled with her work at established wineries such as Big Banyan Wines in Bangalore, led to her being the recipient of DelWine’s Top 10 Indian Women of Wine award, before moving to Australia.
