Tasmanian Wineworks is a new custom contract winemaking facility located in Launceston, and a dynamic new venture for acclaimed winemaker Jeremy Dineen. Committed to quality and excellence, it will deliver premium, flexible and collaborative winemaking services to producers of all sizes, from emerging brands to established producers – offering custom winemaking for boutique labels, through to efficient solutions for large scale fruit processing and dispatch.
Tasmanian Wineworks already has a committed premium client base ready for operations to begin in February 2026. Designed for staged growth, plans are in place to increase production from 800T to 3000T over the coming years.
Reporting to the Chief Winemaker/CEO, this is a senior role that will be responsible for managing the site, winery operations and the cellar team. The Winemaker will work closely with contract clients to provide proactive support and meet their requirements. The inaugural Winemaker will be the key driver in establishing high-quality and efficient operations, contributing to innovations and continuous improvement.
This is an exciting role for an ambitious winemaker who will have the opportunity to grow alongside the business, with mentorship and professional development support from industry leaders.

The Tasmanian wine industry is in a period of significant expansion with total state yield growing by 35% per annum for each of the last two vintages. Additionally, 20% of the total Ha planted in the state are yet to bear fruit. With only 6% of Tasmanian wine currently exported, the future for the state’s premium cool climate Pinot Noir, Sparkling and Chardonnay looks very bright.
Tasmanian Wineworks is a new business co-founded by winemaker Jeremy Dineen and finance professional Martin Rees.
Jeremy Dineen
Jeremy Dineen is an acclaimed Tasmanian winemaker, celebrated for his dedication to crafting pure, expressive wines that reflect the unique terroir of Tasmania. Best known for his long tenure as Chief Winemaker and General Manager at Josef Chromy Wines, Jeremy played a pivotal role in establishing Tasmania as a premier destination for cool-climate wines. He is co-founder of Haddow + Dineen, a boutique collaboration focused on small-batch, terroir-driven wines and partner in Broad Arrow Wines. Jeremy’s contributions to the wine industry have earned him widespread respect, including a three-time finalist nomination for the Australian Society of Viticulture and Oenology’s Winemaker of the Year. He is also a seasoned wine show judge and active member of industry committees, helping shape the future of Australian winemaking.
Martin Rees
Martin Rees is a prominent businessman with a long history in accounting and business consulting, known for his 20-year tenure as managing partner of KPMG in Launceston. He now serves on various boards, including St Lukes Health and Pets Domain, is Chairman of peak industry body Wine Tasmania, and has provided strategic consulting services to a number of public and private sector clients. His family owns Spikey Bridge Vineyard which produces Broad Arrow Wines and carries a deep connection to Tasmania’s convict heritage and a commitment to crafting wines that reflect the island’s rich history and natural terroir.
About the Facility
The contract winemaking facility located in St Leonards, 10 mins from the Launceston’s centre, will provide local and mainland producers with a range of high-quality wine services including de-juicing and bottling.
The fully equipped winery is designed for staged expansion with plans to increase the initial 800T capacity to 2000T over the next few years.
Currently being fitted out, the facility will commence operations in February 2026 ready for vintage.
