Joining iconic Margaret River producer Voyager Estate, the new Head Viticulturist will be part of the leadership team for one of Australia’s foremost organic wine producers. This is a once in a career opportunity to build a legacy, setting industry benchmarks for quality, sustainable viticulture and land management.

The Voyager Estate vineyard is part of a dynamic agribusiness, incorporating holistic farming practices to sustain the quality and purity of the site. The Head Viticulturist will manage the 102 Ha organically certified vineyard, advancing sustainability objectives and driving wine quality through innovation and continual improvement strategies. Reporting to the Chief Winemaker, this is a role for a hands-on leader that will be responsible for all vineyard operations, including financials, viticultural plans and staff.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in viticulture, applied science, agriculture science or equivalent discipline
  • At least 10 years relevant experience in high-end viticulture and vineyard management
  • Experience with sustainable and/or organic farming practices preferred
  • Extensive technical knowledge and agribusiness management experience
  • Experience in change management and business development
  • Strong leadership skills and management strategies
  • Business and financial acumen
  • Inquisitive and a proactive problem-solver
  • Highly developed organisation and communication skills
  • Capacity for light domestic travel
  • Valid driver’s licence
