Located in the dramatic granite landscape of the Strathbogie Ranges, Fowles Wines is seeking a quality-focussed, meticulous vineyard manager. Overseeing 120 Hectares of vineyard across two sites, a dedicated team and a thorough redevelopment plan, the Vineyard Manager will drive the continued improvement in quality, value and long-term health of the properties.
Fowles Wines is known for crafting some of Australia’s finest cool-climate wines, won countless medals and trophies and was named a ‘Winery to Watch’ by Wine Spectator in the USA. It is a forward-thinking, family-owned wine business that is fully vertically-integrated. From its own vineyard and farm through winemaking, bottling and logistics to the new cellar door and restaurant, Fowles wines can be found around Australia, UK, USA, Canada, China and elsewhere in Asia. Best known for Shiraz and Riesling, the vineyard has a total of 12 varieties including Arneis, Sangiovese and Mourvèdre.
Reporting to the Chief Winemaker and working closely with the GM and CEO, this hands-on vineyard management role is responsible for all vineyard operations. From financial, safety and environmental reporting to soil health, maintenance planning and occasional promotional support, the role is diverse and challenging.
This is a role that demands a high level of professionalism and engagement with the company’s vision for wine quality, value, safety and environmental responsibility.
