Stanton & Killeen in Rutherglen, Victoria, is seeking a conscientious, astute Winemaker to lead the winery through the next phase of its evolution.
Established in 1875, Stanton & Killeen is an Australian classic. Famous for its luscious fortified wines, S&K continues to attract attention with its contemporary table wine portfolio made from Portuguese varieties, including arinto, touriga nacional, tinto cão, tinta roriz and tinta barroca. After 145 years of operation, S&K is as vibrant and energetic as ever with an ongoing vineyard rejuvenation program.
Reporting to the CEO, this is a hands-on role with responsibility for day-today winemaking plus oversight of the vineyard and bottling operations. This position also encompasses financial, environmental and OH&S management.
The Winemaker will be an ambassador for the brand via direct promotional work plus professional development through industry events such as conferences, workshops and wine show judging.
