A key driver of Cherubino Wines’ success is an uncompromising approach to viticulture. This commitment is illustrated at both the Riversdale and Acacia vineyards with major capital investments including water infrastructure, vine re-work, plant & equipment, extensive trial plantings and a genuine organic commitment. The work on proactive, adaptive viticulture is second to none and includes the largest clonal selection in W.A. for Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, plus trial plantings to improve the selections of Aglianico, Arneis, Corvina, Counoise, Fiano, Grenache, Grenache Blanc, Grüner Veltliner, Mencía, Mourvèdre, Nebbiolo and Touriga. The “Bordeaux” test plot also includes new clones of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc.
Reporting to the Managing Director and with the support of a great team including the Group Viticulturist and the Pemberton Vineyard Manager, this is a hands-on role with the leadership of a dedicated team, local contractors and career progression opportunities. The Frankland River Vineyard Manager will be responsible for the efficient, safe, sustainable and high-quality performance of both sites, including operational and financial reporting.
In line with a senior role of this nature, the remuneration package includes a generous salary, fully-maintained vehicle, wine allowance and a newly renovated 4-bedroom home on the farm.
