Prior to this, Mark spent fourteen years with Accolade Wines (formerly BRL Hardy), including eight years as Senior Winemaker and Winery Manager for Yarra Burn. In addition to the Yarra Valley during that period, Mark made wines in McLaren Vale, Heathcote, Great Western and the Pyrenees, plus vintages in Austria and Sicily.

Mark is President of the Yarra Valley Wine Growers’ Association, a regular wine show judge at both capital city and regional shows, member of the Victorian Pinot Noir Workshop Committee and former Chair of the Committee for the Yarra Valley Wine Show and James Halliday Chardonnay Challenge. Jian FENG

Consultant

Jian joined WNC as a consultant in 2014, after being one of the very few Chinese students to complete a Bachelor of Viticulture and Oenology at The University of Adelaide.

Jian has well-rounded cellar experience in both Australian and Chinese wineries and brings unique insights into both wine cultures. For example, Jian worked as a translator and host for Chinese VIP guests during Savour, 2013, managing the technical language for winery and vineyard visits around South Australia with great clarity.

At present, he is working on some exciting vineyard development projects and says his biggest surprise since moving to Australia is its pinot noir – something with great potential for the Chinese dinner table.

He is a great asset, especially to our Chinese clients in both countries.
